About the Authors

David M. Edwards is an award winning director and filmmaker. Coming to the position of Director via the editing suite, he is a highly detailed individual who is adept at seeing the big picture and is skilled at shaping the vision for film projects. He started EMotion Pictures Productions, LLC in 1995 with the intention of focusing his career on documentaries and narrative feature films. Since the founding of EMotion Pictures, Dave Edwards has established himself as a respected individual among film and video professionals and is a respected member in the Denver business community.

After many years of success creating commercial and promotional media for such companies as Time Warner Telecom and US West, David decided to steer his career back to his original intentions. Sprawling From Grace; Driven To Madness is his first feature film documentary. David is currently in post-production of his second feature film documentary Justice In Uganda; Dancing Without Music, which is scheduled for completion in late 2008, and is in pre-production for his debut feature film narrative The Ship.

 

Jess Taylor is a producer with a wealth of experience and production management skills. A graduate of CU Boulder with a BS in Business Administration and Marketing, Jesse has spent the past fifteen years working on a variety of creative projects in a variety of disciplines. Jesse is co-producer of the new documentary feature film Sprawling From Grace; Driven To Madness, which was released September 16th, 2008.

Prior to teaming with Dave Edwards, Jess worked with Thought Equity Motion, where he was an integral creative contributor to hundreds of creative projects for numerous Hollywood and major media clients including Jerry Bruckheimer Productions, Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures, MGM, NBC Universal, ABC, CBS, and Apple Computer, just to name a few. His relationships with these, and many other clients at TEM helped the media house grow from start-up to number two in market share (behind only Getty Images) in the motion media licensing industry. Jesse currently maintains excellent relationships with many of his former TEM clients and vendors.

Jess also served as the producer/director of the weekly TV show Profiles in American Enterprise at the CU Broadcast Center, and has produced over 50 features, shorts, commercials, corporate, and educational projects. His credits include The Mustang Solution for Danish Television, commercials for Volkswagen and Grand Junction Board of Tourism, the Global Scenarios series for Big World Media, and the feature films Spotless, Suicide Run, West of Here and Traveler’s Gin. His ability to combine an intensely focused creative drive with strong business acumen has made him popular with clients and crews alike, who praise his experience and the quality of the resulting work.
